Product Data Feed Configuration
- First, you need to create a Google Merchant Center (GMC) account using your Google account and provide all basic business information.
- Navigate to Product Data Feeds -> Verification Files to easily host Google site verification files on your Odoo instance.
- Import the categories from Google Product Taxonomy via Configuration -> Import Categories to ensure accurate product classification.
- To see the Google Product Taxonomy user need to navigate to Configuration -> Google Categories.
- Map your Odoo categories to the Google Product Taxonomy via Inventory -> Configuration -> Product Categories to ensure accurate product classification.
- Product related details that are to be shown & synced in Google Merchant Center are to be set in Inventory -> Products -> Products -> Google Merchant Center menu.
- Navigate to Product Data Feeds -> Feeds to create and configure your data feeds.
- Configure feed settings including Website, Pricelist, Target Country, and Language.
- Use Product Filter to dynamically select which products should be included in the feed using standard Odoo domains.
- Choose between Product Templates or Product Variants export modes.
- Select the Out of Stock Action to either exclude items or include them with the "out_of_stock" status.
- Enable Caching for large catalogs to ensure fast feed delivery to Google.
- To sync or upload your product to Merchant Center, copy the Feed URL from Product Feed record.
- Later in Merchant Center, navigate to Products -> Add Products -> Add anotherproduct source.
- There select option Add Product From File below it Enter a link to file, here paste the Feed URL copied from feeed record.
- Once uploaded the feed, the products will be synced in the Merchant Center.
- NOTE: After feed uploaded, If any update needs to be done in the product data then update the product data in Odoo and generate the feed again, and sync the feed in the Merchant Center OR directly edit the products data in the Merchant Center it will take 24 to 72 hours to review & show your product in google, Also if product is status as Not Approved then check the Review and fix in Merchant Center.
