Record voice notes on CRM leads and transcribe them with OpenAI Whisper

In-Browser Recording
Record voice notes directly inside the CRM lead form using a built-in audio recorder widget. No external apps or hardware needed.
Whisper Transcription
Transcribe recordings to text using OpenAI Whisper AI. Supports multiple languages with high accuracy, running locally on your server.
Attachment-Based Storage
Voice notes are stored as standard Odoo attachments. Play them back, download them, or keep a growing library of audio notes per lead.
How It Works
Open any CRM lead and click the record button to capture a voice note from your microphone. The recording is saved as an OGG attachment linked to the lead. Click Transcribe to run OpenAI Whisper on the audio â the transcript is appended to a dedicated text field on the lead. Multiple recordings can be saved and transcribed; each transcript is added cumulatively so you never lose context.
Requirement: The openai-whisper Python package must be installed on the server.
