Posted-worker A1 register: validity, expiry, per-trip coverage and EU-posting documentation under VO (EG) 883/2004
When a German employer sends staff on business trips or postings inside the EU/EEA/CH, each worker needs a valid A1-Bescheinigung proving they remain in the German social- security system (VO (EG) 883/2004, Art. 12/13). Inspections abroad (especially FR, AT, BE) levy on-the-spot fines when an A1 is missing or expired. Tracking who is covered, until when, and for which trip is easy to get wrong with a spreadsheet.
