Odoo18 Delivery Note Description Updates

This module extends the Odoo Inventory module by enabling users to update product descriptions on Delivery Orders even after they have been validated and moved to the *Done* state. This is particularly useful in cases where a description needs correction or additional information needs to be recorded after dispatch.

Key Highlights

Adds an "Update Description" button on Delivery Orders in the Done state.

Launches a wizard showing the current product descriptions.

Allows users to edit and save updated descriptions.

Click on the Update Description button.

This button enables the updation of description .

A wizard with description appears.

From this wizard you can update the descriptions and then save.The updated description will be visible inside the lines.

Why do I need this module?

Odoo does not allow editing descriptions once a Delivery Order is validated. This module lets you correct or update product descriptions afterward without modifying stock or accounting entries.

Does this affect product quantities or valuation?

No. Only the description field is updated. All stock and financial data remain unchanged.

Where does the updated description appear?

The updated description will appear: On the Delivery Order lines, In stock move / stock move line records, In reports where these descriptions are referenced

Can we edit multiple descriptions at once?

Yes, the wizard shows all product lines in the delivery so multiple descriptions can be updated together.

How do I install the module after purchase ?

Extract the ZIP file and copy the module folder to your Odoo addons directory.

Which Odoo versions are supported ?

This module is available for Odoo 16,17,18 versions.
