Delivery Ups Custom Packages
Description
This module is designed to customize dimensions within the same package type based on specific requirements and to transmit these custom dimensions (i.e., length, width, and height) to UPS.
Functionality
After installing the Delivery Ups Custom Packages application, the feature will be enabled.
Go to Inventory - - > Configuration - - > Package Types. Select any package type.
When the custom dimensions field is enabled, the length, width, and height options are displayed in the package details.
The custom dimensions boolean must be enabled if package details are to be included in the delivery.
This is because the basic functionality includes length, height, and width in the package details within the inventory, and without customization, this information is sent to the delivery shipping.
Ensure the custom dimension fields are activated for accurate package details during delivery.
A sales order should be created by going to Sales. In the Delivery Order, when Put in Pack is selected under Detailed Operations, the wizard can be seen.
In the Package Details wizard, the dimensions set in the package type will be propagated by default, and the dimensions of the package can be customized in the Delivery Order.
After completing the delivery order, check the status to confirm its completion.
The delivery tracking information can be found in the log notes and downloaded for record-keeping.
Additionally, the custom package details associated with the delivery can be viewed.
