Inventory ABC Analysis Report
Inventory ABC Analysis Report Odoo App ranks every product by how much value it consumes during a chosen period and tags it Class A (the vital few), Class B (the moderate middle), or Class C (the trivial many). The classification follows the classic Pareto split, and you can edit the thresholds to whatever fits your business.
Switch the Analysis Basis between Consumption Value and Quantity Consumed, pick the date range, company, warehouses, locations, and products or categories, and run the report. The result opens on screen as a list with colour-coded Class A, B, and C rows or as a pivot, prints to a PDF with classification summary and per-class detail tables, or downloads as Excel with the same structure.
It is built for purchasing teams, category planners, and inventory managers who need to know which products deserve the tightest control and which ones can be managed lightly.
Features
ABC Auto-Classification
Every product is tagged Class A, B, or C by cumulative consumption share, so the vital few stand out from the trivial many.
Configurable Thresholds and Basis
Set your own Class A and B cutoffs and choose whether the ranking runs on Consumption Value or Quantity Consumed.
Multi-Level Filters
Narrow by date range, company, warehouses, internal locations, individual products, or full product categories.
Group-by-Class Layout
On-screen rows roll up under Class A, Class B, and Class C with subtotals at each header, ready for executive reading.
List and Pivot Views
Read the result as detail rows or pivot it across class, category, and warehouse to compare Consumption Value and Stock Value.
PDF and Excel with Summary
PDF prints a classification summary plus per-class item tables. Excel mirrors the layout for finance and category planning teams.
Open from the Reporting Menu
Inventory ABC Analysis sits inside Inventory, Reporting, next to Stock, Locations, and the other stock reports the team already knows.
Set Period, Filters, and Classification Settings
Choose the From and To dates, the company, warehouses, and internal locations, then pick individual products or a product category. On the right, choose the Analysis Basis (By Consumption Value or By Quantity Consumed) and type your Class A and Class B threshold percentages.
Three Output Buttons
View Report opens the analysis on screen, Print PDF prints a formatted document, and Export XLSX downloads the spreadsheet. Pick the format that suits the audience.
On-Screen List with Class Headers
Rows are grouped under Class A, Class B, and Class C with item counts and subtotals. Each line shows product, internal reference, category, warehouse, Quantity Consumed, Unit Cost, Consumption Value, percent of total, cumulative percent, ABC Class, Stock On Hand, and Stock Value.
Ready-Made Filters and Group By
Quick filters jump straight to Class A, Class B, or Class C. Group By organises the same rows by ABC Class, Category, or Warehouse, with Favorites for saved searches.
Pivot Roll-Up by Class
Switch to pivot to roll up Quantity Consumed, Consumption Value, Stock On Hand, and Stock Value across Class A, B, and C and drill into categories underneath each class.
PDF with Classification Summary
The PDF prints the applied filters and thresholds at the top, a four-row Classification Summary (Class A, B, C, Total with items, value, and percentage), then dedicated per-class item tables. A short legend at the foot reminds readers what each class means.
Excel Export with the Same Layout
The Excel file mirrors the PDF: filters at the top, classification summary, then the colour-banded product table with every analysis column. Drop it into a working file when category planners or finance need to slice further.
