Landed Cost Templates

A Landed Cost Template acts as a reusable logistics “price list” that locks in freight, customs, duty and insurance rates for a defined period. Odoo 18 uses these templates to automatically calculate and apply additional costs to incoming shipments — driven by vendor, shipment type, import route or product category — eliminating repetitive manual entry on every receipt.

Template Cost

this screen is to reduce manual work by automating landed cost entries. Instead of manually adding freight and duty charges for every shipment from India, users can simply select this template, and the system will automatically add the additional $60.00 ($20 + $40) cost to the incoming product valuation.

Template Revision

The Create Revision button allows users to duplicate an existing template to update the Cost Amount for a new period without losing the previous configuration

Purchase Order Integration

Connect every Purchase Order directly to the Landed Cost workflow in Odoo 18. Each PO captures the import context — shipment type, import route and destination warehouse — so the system can match the right Landed Cost Template and produce an accurate final cost based on the original product value at the moment of receipt.
