POS Bag Charges in Odoo
The POS Bag Charges module provides a convenient way to manage carry bag or packaging charges in your Point of Sale. It introduces a user-friendly popup that prompts cashiers to select bags before completing an order, seamlessly adding the corresponding charges to the cart. Ideal for retail stores and supermarkets, this module ensures accurate billing for packaging materials and helps comply with local regulations on plastic or paper bag charges, without slowing down the checkout process.

Create Bag Category
Navigate to Point of Sale > Configuration > POS Product Categories. Create a new POS product category specifically for your carry bags.
Configure Bag Settings
Navigate to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings. Locate the bag settings section and select the products that will act as carry bags.
POS Interface with Bag Button
Once configured, open a POS session. You will notice a new "Carry Bag" button directly in your POS Actions, ready for easy access.
Easy Bag Selection Popup
When a customer requests a bag, click the Bag button to open a beautiful popup. Simply tap on the required bag to add its quantity.
Instant Cart Updates
After closing the popup, the selected bags and their correct charges are instantly added to the current customer's orders.
Accurate Order Tracking
Bag charges are recorded flawlessly in the backend just like any other product, providing accurate accounting and inventory tracking for your packaging materials.
View Bags on Invoices
Carry bag charges are seamlessly added to the final customer invoice, ensuring complete transparency and accurate billing for your customers.
