POS Customer Wallet in Odoo
The POS Customer Wallet module provides a robust and centralized wallet system for your Point of Sale. It allows customers to maintain a prepaid balance, enabling faster checkouts and encouraging customer loyalty. Cashiers can easily view real-time balances on the payment screen, perform instant recharges, and process full or partial payments using the wallet. With a complete backend audit trail of every credit and debit transaction, this module ensures transparency and security for both the business and the customer.

- Centralized Wallet Balance – Maintain and track customer-specific wallet balances directly on the partner record.
- Real-time POS Display – View the customer’s current wallet balance instantly on the POS payment screen upon selection.
- Instant POS Recharge – Recharge a customer’s wallet balance directly from the POS interface with a dedicated recharge popup.
- Backend Management – Manage balances from the customer form view using a convenient recharge/deduct wizard.
- Multi-Payment Support – Seamlessly combine wallet payments with cash, bank, or other methods for partial balance usage.
- Automatic Refunds – Refunded items are automatically credited back to the customer’s wallet, ensuring balance accuracy.
- Full Audit Trail – Track every wallet operation with detailed transaction history, including references, users, and notes.
Enable Customer Wallet
Navigate to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings. Locate the "Customer Wallet" option and enable it to activate the wallet system for your PoS sessions.
Configure Wallet Payment Method
Create a payment method with the type "Customer Account". In PoS settings, select this as your "Wallet Payment Method" to link it with the wallet system.
Wallet Management
Manage balances from the customer forms. Use the "Recharge Wallet" button to open a pop up for adding or deducting money with full audit notes.
Real-time Balance in POS
Upon selecting a customer on the payment screen, the POS interface immediately displays their current wallet balance, providing quick visibility for both cashier and customer.
Recharge Directly from POS
Use the "Recharge" button next to the balance on the payment screen to open a popup. Enter the amount and an optional note to instantly top up the customer's wallet.
Detailed Transaction Audit Trail
Access the Point of Sale > Wallet > Transactions menu to view a complete history of all wallet activities, ensuring every credit and debit is fully documented.
