POS Multi Currency Payment in Odoo
The POS Multi Currency Payment module for Odoo enables your Point of Sale to accept payments in multiple currencies with ease. It is used to handle foreign currency transactions at the POS counter, providing automatic exchange rate conversion and allowing split payments across different currencies. With detailed multi-currency receipts and session reports, you can manage international transactions seamlessly while ensuring accurate accounting in your base currency.

Activate Foreign Currencies & Rates
Navigate to Accounting > Configuration > Currencies to activate the foreign currencies you wish to accept. Ensure that the Exchange Rates are set up and updated to reflect current market values.
Enable Multi-Currency in POS Settings
Go to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings. In the Payment section, enable the Multi-Currency Payments feature and select the specific currencies allowed for this POS.
Select Currency at the Payment Screen
Open a POS session and proceed to payment. When you select a payment method, a Currency Selector will appear. Choose the foreign currency offered by the customer.
Automatic Conversion & Split Payments
Enter the amount in the foreign currency. The system will automatically calculate the Base Currency equivalent. You can add multiple payment lines with different currencies.
View Multi-Currency Details on Receipt
After validation, the Order Receipt will print the breakdown of all payments, showing foreign amounts, exchange rates, and the total in base currency.
