Set Up the Discount Product

The module automatically creates an 'Order Discount' product (Reference: DISC) used to apply discount lines on POS orders. This product is pre-configured with the correct type and category so it works seamlessly with the POS discount workflow.

Configure POS Discount Settings

Start by enabling the 'Order Discount' option in the POS settings. Here you can configure a discount product, set default percentage values, define maximum discount limits, and enable explicit fixed discounts on lines.

Apply Global Percentage Discounts

Use the new 'Order Discount' or 'Discount' action buttons to bring up a dedicated pop-up containing quick preset percentages. Select a preset or type a custom manual discount to instantly apply the amount to the total order.

Provide Fixed Amount Discounts

The discount pop-up allows cashiers to switch seamlessly to a 'Fixed Amount' tab and explicitly subtract an exact currency value as a global order discount.

Apply Specific Line Level Discounts

Select an individual product inside the order and use the 'Line Discount' action to specifically discount the highlighted items. The discounted value will update directly on the active line.

Enforce Maximum Discount Limits

Keep margins safe and under control by protecting limits. Cashiers are restricted and met with an informative warning when attempting to apply a discount percentage exceeding your initially configured cap.
