POS Product Internal Reference in Odoo
This module seamlessly displays Product Internal References (SKUs or custom codes) directly within your Point of Sale (POS) interface. It is designed to show a product's unique internal code on the POS product cards, the shopping cart order lines, and printed customer receipts. The module provides independent toggles for each display area, giving you full control over where the codes appear. This simple but powerful enhancement helps cashiers quickly and accurately identify products, minimizing errors and speeding up the checkout process.
Features
- Show Code on Product Card – Display the internal reference prominently on product representation cards in the POS interface so your cashiers can visually confirm right away.
- Show Code on Cart / Order Lines – Easily view the unique product code beside the product name in the active order cart while selecting items.
- Show Code on Receipt – Automatically print the internal reference on the customer's final receipt, ensuring complete transparency and easy tracking.
Enable Product Code Settings
To get started, navigate to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings and under the Product Internal Reference turn on Show Code on Product Card, Show Code on Cart / Order Lines and Show Code on Receipt functionality.
Launch Point of Sale Session
Start your operations by opening a new or existing Point of Sale session directly from the main dashboard.
View Product Codes on Dashboard
The internal reference code is clearly displayed on the product cards, and when a product is selected, it also appears in the cart on the order lines.
Product Codes on Payment Receipt
The product codes are included on the final printed payment receipt, ensuring easy identification for both staff and customers.
