POS Responsive Theme in Odoo
The POS Responsive Theme module for Odoo gives your Point of Sale a modern, fully customizable look and an improved responsive layout for day-to-day billing. It is used to quickly switch between Dark / Light (Night) mode, apply a custom accent color, choose Google Fonts, and select clean product card and button styles. With optional options like cart position, product images in cart, and a more polished UI on tablets and smaller screens, your POS becomes easier to use, consistent with your brand, and comfortable for long shifts.
Features
- Dark / Light Mode Toggle: Switch the POS UI between light and dark themes instantly using a navbar toggle for comfortable billing during long shifts.
- Custom Accent Color: Apply your brand color across buttons, active states, highlights, and badges for a consistent POS experience.
- Google Fonts Support: Choose from popular font families and improve readability across all POS screens.
- Product Card & Button Styles: Pick modern UI styles (rounded, shadow, minimal, pill, gradient, etc.) to match your store design.
- Cart & Layout Controls: Configure cart position (left/right), show product thumbnails in the cart, enable sticky navbar, and enjoy an enhanced responsive layout on tablets and smaller screens.
- Custom Background: Set a subtle POS background that works with both dark and light themes for a clean, premium look.
Open POS Theme Settings
Navigate to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings and scroll to the POS Theme section to configure the appearance of your POS interface.
Choose Colors, Fonts & Styles
Select your preferred theme mode (light/dark), set a custom accent color, choose a Google Font, and pick product card and button styles. Save the settings to apply them to the POS UI.
Configure Layout Options
Configure usability options like cart position (left/right), product image in cart, sticky navbar, and optional background so the POS stays clear and responsive on different screen sizes.
Launch and Use Your POS Theme
Open your POS session to see your theme in action. All settings apply automatically, and you can switch between Dark and Light modes anytime using the moon/sun icon in the navbar. Enjoy professional billing with improved readability and a fully responsive layout.
