POS Self-Service Kiosk Odoo App turns any tablet or touchscreen into a self-ordering and checkout station that runs on top of your Odoo POS. It gives quick-service restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and food courts a Community-friendly alternative to the Enterprise self-order kiosk, with a richer ordering screen and a built-in upsell engine.

Guests tap to start, choose dine-in or takeaway, browse the menu by category, and open any item to pick options or a combo, check calories, and read allergen warnings before adding it. In the cart they can add a tip, identify themselves for loyalty points, and either pay on the screen through your payment provider or take a number and pay at the counter.

Every order becomes a normal order in your open POS session with a stand number, so your team validates it and sends it to the kitchen as usual, while a backend dashboard shows sessions, conversion, revenue, and your best-selling items. It suits any counter-service business that wants to cut queues and let guests order for themselves.

Guided Self-Ordering

Guests browse categories, open a product, pick variants or a combo, set the quantity, and add it to the cart on a clean touchscreen.

Attract Screen & Branding

Draw guests in with a full-screen image slideshow, your logo, a welcome headline, and a light, dark, or brand-color theme you set.

Dine-in or Takeaway

Offer dine-in only, takeaway only, or let the guest choose on a simple start screen. The choice is saved on the order.

Allergens & Dietary Info

Tag products with allergens, dietary labels, and calories. Guests filter the menu and can confirm they have read allergen warnings before adding.

Variants & Combos

Let guests build an order with product options and combo meals, each one priced correctly on every line by the system.

Upsell Suggestions

Suggest add-ons in the cart using rules based on what a guest ordered or the cart total, to lift the average order.

Pay Now or at Counter

Guests pay on the screen through your Odoo payment provider, or take a number and pay at the counter. You choose per kiosk.

Add a Tip

Switch on tipping with preset percentage buttons so guests can add a tip before they pay.

Order Number & Receipt QR

Every order shows a stand number and a QR code the guest can scan for a digital receipt on the confirmation screen.

Orders Land in Your POS

Kiosk orders drop into your open POS session with their stand number, ready for the cashier to review, settle, and send to the kitchen.

Guest Language Switch

Guests switch the kiosk to their own language from a selector, so international visitors can order comfortably.

Kiosk Analytics

Track sessions, orders, conversion rate, revenue, average ticket, upsell take-up, peak hours, and top products on a built-in dashboard.

Loyalty for Regulars

If you use Odoo loyalty, guests enter their phone to be recognized on return visits and earn points on their kiosk orders.

Self-Service Customer Ordering Flow

Guests use a clean touchscreen to choose their service mode, browse the menu by category, filter by dietary need, pick product options or combos, check calorie counts, and see allergen warnings before they order.

Pay at Counter Checkout & Multi-Language Support

International guests can switch the kiosk to their own language while they order. At checkout they can choose Pay at Counter and get a stand number to pay quickly at the register.

POS Cashier Order Validation

The POS cashier selects or scans the kiosk order, reviews the details, collects the payment via Cash or Card, and validates the order to print the final receipt.

Backend Configuration & Kiosk Activation

Go to Point of Sale -> Kiosk -> Self-Service Kiosk. Check "Enable Self-Service Kiosk" to automatically generate a unique terminal URL. Configure the default user, service modes (Dine-in / Takeaway), payment options (Pay Now / Pay at Counter), logo branding, custom colors, and idle timeouts.

Allergens, Dietary Tags & Upsell Rules

Enrich the kiosk menu by configuring product allergens and dietary tags in Odoo. Set up smart cross-selling rules with cart minimum totals and recommended product choices to automatically prompt guests and drive higher sales.

Is this app compatible with Odoo Enterprise?

Yes. This module works with Odoo Community, Enterprise, and Odoo.sh. No additional configuration is needed for any edition.

Do customers pay at the kiosk or at the counter?

Both, and you decide per kiosk. Guests can pay right on the screen, or place the order and pay at the counter. Either way the order lands in your Odoo POS.

Does the kiosk run on any tablet or touchscreen?

Yes. Each kiosk gets its own web address, so any tablet, touchscreen, or browser can run it. There is no separate app to install.

Can I show allergens and suggest add-ons?

Yes. Tag products with allergens and dietary information so guests see them while ordering, and set upsell rules that suggest extra items at checkout to lift the average order.
