POS Service Management in Odoo
The POS Service Management module is a comprehensive solution for Odoo Point of Sale designed specifically for service-based businesses like laundry, repair centers, tailoring shops, and more. It enables cashiers to easily check-in customer items, track their service progress, and manage the final check-out and payment. Features

Enable Service Management
Navigate to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings. Locate the "Service Management" section and enable it to activate the check-in system for your POS sessions.
Customizable Service Notes
Predefine and select custom service notes/instructions to ensure every specific customer request is captured and followed during the service process.
Attach Quick Service Notes to Order Lines
Easily enhance order lines with specific service details. Select any product in the cart and use the "Service Note" action to choose from predefined common instructions or enter custom notes, ensuring your service team has all the necessary details.
Check-In Service Items in POS
Use the "Check-In" button in the POS action to open the service entry popup. Enter customer details, add products to the list, set an expected date, and add service notes for specific items.
Order Status Management
Manage all service orders from the Service Orders menu. Update statuses from "Checked-In" to "In Progress" and finally to "Ready" as the work is completed.
Efficient Check-Out & Payment
When the customer arrives, use the "Check-Out" button to load the completed service into the cart and process the final payment seamlessly.
