Set Product Cost

Set the standard or average cost in the product configuration (e.g., ProductA).

Create Landed Cost Service Product

Create a service product for landed cost (e.g., Customs Duty) and set its Product Type to Service.

Enable "Is a Landed Cost" Flag

Go to the Purchase tab of the service product, tick the "Is a Landed Cost" checkbox, and select a default split method.

Create and Confirm Purchase Order

Create and confirm a purchase order containing multiple products, and then generate its receipt.

Validate Inventory Receipt

In the Inventory app, validate the incoming transfer shipment to change its status to "Done".

Navigate to Landed Costs

Go to Odoo Inventory -> Operations -> Landed Costs to manage and create landed cost records.

Create Landed Cost and Select Products

Create a Landed Cost record, select the Transfer receipt, and in the Additional Costs tab, set "Allocation Type" as "Selected Products" and select the specific products to absorb this cost line.

Compute and Validate Landed Cost

Click the "Compute" button to calculate the distribution of additional costs, then click "Validate" to finalize and post the Landed Cost record.

View Stock Valuation Smart Button

Once validated, the Landed Cost status changes to "Posted". Click the "Valuation" smart button to see the valuation adjustments.

Check Stock Valuation Layers

See the detailed ledger entries showing the exact landed cost amount added specifically to your chosen products.

Verify Updated Cost of Product A

Open the product card for Product A; you will see its Cost has been automatically adjusted and updated.

Verify Updated Cost of Product B

Open the product card for Product B to verify that its Cost has also been adjusted based on the allocated landed cost.
