Pre-Migration Scanner (11 Checks)
Validates before execution: hash chain integrity, lock date violations, draft journal entries, currency compatibility, posted AML conflicts, tax repartition references, journal defaults, reconcile models, reconcile flag mismatches, and orphaned partner/product defaults.

Impact Preview
Wizard pauses at the "Impact Review" step showing every database record referencing affected accounts: the related area, field, record name, and source/target account. Review everything before confirming.

Persistent Migration Logs
Every reassignment creates a permanent log record. Logs include: company, affected area and record, old → new account, status, and timestamp. Multi-company rules ensure each company only sees its own logs.

Migration Admin Group
COA Migration Admin security group (inherits Account Manager). Only members can execute the wizard and access impact preview. Account users get read-only log access; Account managers get full log access.

Deprecation Rule Framework
This add-on activates Accounting → Configuration → COA Standards → Deprecation Rules and extends access rights so Account Managers can create, edit, and archive cross-standard deprecation rows (Reassign / Merge Up) that the wizard and data packs already relied on while the core engine shipment stayed read-only. Ideal when you inherit template rules but need local adjustments beyond XML loads.

Full Reference Reassignment
The free engine only reassigns journal items (account.move.line). This add-on extends the reassign phase to also update partners, products, tax repartitions, journal defaults, reconcile models, and any other model referencing account.account — ensuring nothing is left behind.

In the engine's wizard (opened via the "Switch Standard / Migrate" button in Settings), click Apply. This module intercepts and runs all 11 checks automatically.

- Install order: COA Engine (free) first, then this module. A data module (e.g. Vietnam Accounting Data) is optional and can be installed before or after, or you can manually input your own data.

If migrating an empty/test database, the free engine is sufficient. For production databases with existing journal entries and tax configurations, this module provides the safety net and audit trail.

No. Logs are persistent Odoo records. Account Managers have write access. They are not a blockchain or write-once ledger. For strict audit compliance, export logs to an external system.

Most checks produce warnings displayed in the impact review. The user can still proceed. Only critical issues (e.g. hash chain integrity) produce hard errors that block execution.
