DFF Payroll — Data Accounts (Vietnam Default)
TT99-oriented debit and credit accounts on DFF Vietnam salary rules
Companion data pack for dff_hr_payroll_data (technical name
dff_hr_payroll_data_account). Writes debit and
credit accounts on standard DFF Vietnam salary rules so free
dff_payroll_account can create accrual journal entries when a payslip
is Done. Defaults use common Circular 99/2025/TT-BTC (TT99) leaf
codes for management staff cost (6421), payroll
payable (334), PIT payable (3335), social
insurance / UI payables (3383, 3384,
3386), and union finance (3382). Account
3385 is not used by this pack.
Free on Odoo Apps — List price 0 USD.
Companion to Master Data (dff_hr_payroll_data): seeds account sides on
Vietnam salary rules for accruals via free dff_payroll_account.
Fresh-install seed: mappings stay editable; updates do not overwrite customer
changes (noupdate). Change 6421 to
622 / 641 when your cost center differs.
License remains OPL-1. Does not include payment
registration UI or Chart of Accounts creation.

Not tax or accounting advice — Defaults are a starting template using common TT99-oriented leaf codes for management staff cost centers. They are not a certified Circular 99/2025 attestation and do not replace your accountant's judgment. Validate every mapping against your Chart of Accounts and internal policy before go-live.
What You Gain
- Free TT99-oriented seed — Gross and statutory Master Data rules get starting debit/credit accounts for accruals.
- OCA-compatible signs — Deduction rules follow signed-amount flip conventions in free
dff_payroll_accountfor correct Dr/Cr. - Editable defaults — Override expense or payable sides on each salary rule in the UI when your cost center differs.
- Accrual-ready without payment UI — Enough for Done-payslip journal entries; payment registration is out of scope for this pack.
What Is Mapped
Gross and employer cost
Gross salary and employer SI / HI / UI / occupational accident / union finance lines default to management expense 6421 with the matching payable credit (for example 334 or 338x).
Employee withholdings
Employee SI / HI / UI (BHXH-related), PIT, and employee union fee use OCA deduction sign conventions so postings clear payroll payable (334) into 338x / 3335.
Scope of Delivery
Included
- Default account sides on gross and statutory DFF Vietnam salary rules
- TT99-oriented codes: 6421, 334, 3335, 3382, 3383, 3384, 3386
- Preserves customer overrides on module update
- Install-time log when those CoA leaf codes are missing
Explicit Limitations
- Does not create Chart of Accounts accounts
- Default expense is management staff cost (6421) only — not production/sales
- Maps GROSS and statutory lines only; allowances, OT, commission stay unmapped by design
- Does not include payment registration wizard or payment SoD groups
- Missing account codes at install leave rule accounts empty
- Not tax advice and not a certified Circular 99/2025 / TT99 attestation
How It Works
1. Prepare CoA
Ensure leaf accounts with codes 6421, 334, 3335, 3382, 3383, 3384, and 3386 exist on the company chart before installing this pack.
2. Install the pack
Install dff_hr_payroll_data_account after Master Data and
dff_payroll_account. Debit/credit fields on mapped rules fill
automatically when CoA codes match.
3. Validate and adjust
Have your accountant review mappings. Open Payroll → Configuration → Salary Rules to change debit/credit for production, sales, or other cost centers, and map any unmapped earnings (allowances, OT, commission) before first closing.
Screenshots
Gross salary rule accounts
After install, the Gross salary rule shows debit 6421 and credit 334 when those leaf accounts exist on the Chart of Accounts.
Employee withholding mapping
Employee SI / HI / UI or PIT rules use OCA deduction sign conventions so postings clear payroll payable into 338x or 3335.
FAQ
Is this a certified Circular 99 / TT99 mapping?
No. It is a practical starting template using common TT99-oriented leaf codes.
Your company accountant must validate every rule before go-live.
Why only account 6421 on the expense side?
Defaults assume management staff cost. For production or sales, change the
debit account on the relevant salary rules (for example 622 or 641).
Why are allowances or overtime still empty?
By design this pack maps gross and statutory lines only. Map other earnings
manually on salary rules so accruals stay complete.
Does this module register salary payments?
No. This free module (dff_hr_payroll_data_account) only seeds
debit/credit on salary rules next to dff_hr_payroll_data so
accruals can post. Payment registration UI and payment SoD roles are out of
scope.
Is this really free?
Yes on Odoo Apps (list price 0 USD). The license is still
OPL-1 (not LGPL). Free dff_payroll_account
(LGPL-3) remains the OCA accounting engine this pack maps into.
Is this a pure data module with no Python?
Mappings ship as XML. An install hook only logs missing CoA leaf codes and,
if an optional flat PIT salary rule already exists with empty debit/credit,
may seed 3335 / 334. It does not run payslip or journal business logic.
