Odoo Document Expiry Notification System (Enterprise Edition) | Smart Reminders: Automate Document Expiry Emails in Odoo Enterprise

This app enables users to conveniently set the start date and expiry date for each document while uploading or creating it within the Documents module in Odoo. By capturing these key dates, the system can proactively manage document lifecycles, making it easier to track upcoming expirations and ensure timely actions.

Main Features

  • Document Date Management:
    Allows users to create, edit, or upload documents with a start date and end date within the Odoo Enterprise Documents module.
  • Automatic Synchronization with Attachments:
    The system automatically synchronizes the document start and end dates with the related attachment.
  • Configurable Expiry Setup:
    Enables configuration of expiry settings using a document model based attachment expiry setup.
  • Manual Date Entry Required:
    Users must manually set both the start date and end date when creating, editing, or uploading a document. The system does not automatically assign these dates.
  • UI Note for Odoo v18.0:
    In Odoo version 18.0, the side panel in the Documents module has been removed. Users can add or modify start and end dates directly from the list view, and view them in the kanban view.
  • Optional Expiry Notification Email Integration:
    To enable automated expiry email notifications, please refer to the dependent app Document Attachment Expiry Reminder available at: https://apps.odoo.com/apps/modules/18.0/document_attachment_expiry_reminder/ .
