Duplicate Check Rules

Prevent duplicate records creation with customizable rules

Key Features

  • Create rules to check for duplicate records
  • Select specific fields to check for duplicates
  • Configure custom alert messages
  • Prompt users with confirmation dialog
  • Multi-company support
  • Full multilingual support

How It Works

Step 1: Create duplicate check rules
Navigate to Settings > Duplicate Check Rules and create a new rule. Select the model and fields you want to check for duplicates.

Step 2: Configure alert message
Customize the message that will be shown to users when a duplicate is detected.

Step 3: Create records
When users create new records, the system automatically checks for duplicates based on your rules and displays a confirmation dialog if duplicates are found.

Configuration

Configure rules by specifying:

  • Rule name - a descriptive name for the rule
  • Model - which model to check for duplicates
  • Fields - which fields to check for duplicate values
  • Alert message - custom message to display to users
  • Sequence - order of rule execution

User Experience

When duplicates are detected, users see a confirmation dialog with options to continue or cancel. This helps prevent accidental duplicate record creation while giving users the flexibility to create duplicates when necessary.
