Kuwait Logistics Suite
One install pulls the whole ERP Heritage logistics stack onto an Odoo 18 Community database scoped to the State of Kuwait, version aligned under one publisher.
See it in action

One suite, one operational paneQuotations, freight, customs, transport, last mile, cold chain, containers, ship agency and project cargo, every engine reporting into one dashboard.

The forwarding boardThe freight desk reads its whole book in one screen, grouped by state with mode, lane and cargo on every card.

Every file wired to the suiteA job file links out to quotations, bills of lading, containers, bookings, customs, cold chain and disputes, one connected operation rather than isolated modules.
Why this module
Kuwait Logistics Suite
Tested as a set, pinned to one release line
Every constituent module sits on the same Odoo 18 release line. The bundle manifest anchors the exact combination, so you upgrade the suite as one unit rather than chasing version drift across nineteen separate installs.
One support contact for the whole stack
Engines, Kuwait master data and the Kuwait customs adapter all ship under ERP Heritage. Bug fixes, support and version upgrades come from a single source instead of a patchwork of authors with different release cadences.
Skip the search and click loop
Installing this single module pulls the full logistics suite into the Community database in one action, with Kuwait ports, airports, customs offices and free zones seeded and the customs adapter profile wired in.
Day in the life
From confirmed quote to customs and tracking, one stack
A Kuwait forwarder confirms a quotation in Logistics Quotation, where leg classification, live margin, credit exposure and KYC guards run before confirmation and a below-threshold margin routes to manager approval. Confirmation spawns a freight job carrying its HBL, MBL, HAWB or MAWB and milestone checklist. The customs broker module files a declaration with HS lines against a deferment account, and the Kuwait customs adapter serializes the submission to the documented endpoint contract. As the carrier posts updates, signature verified webhooks land in the append-only tracking event log that feeds the public tracking page. Containers move through depot gate-in and gate-out with demurrage and detention clocks, and the 3PL warehouse billing run prices the period from the movement log and storage snapshots.
Edge cases
The cases most modules quietly ignore.
In the shipped code today, each one a place where a cheaper module silently does the wrong thing.
Quotation lines carry a leg classification and a margin-inclusion flag, so a single sale order prices pre-carriage, main carriage, on-carriage and disbursements together while disbursements stay out of the gross margin computation.
A confirmed quotation computes live gross margin, a red or amber margin status and credit exposure. A below-threshold (red) order cannot confirm without manager approval, closing the discount-leak path.
Bills of lading are one model with four variants (HBL, MBL, HAWB, MAWB). A UNIQUE(company, bl_type, number) constraint blocks duplicate document numbers within a company, and house bills link only to applicable masters.
Each dangerous-goods class declares its IMDG incompatibility list. The declaration's segregation detector scans the lines and flags incompatible class combinations before the shipper's declaration is issued.
Outbound EDI builds the payload once and stores it. The dispatch cron increments retry_count on failure and moves the row to dead_letter when the retry budget is reached, where an operator can resubmit the identical content.
Inbound carrier webhooks verify an HMAC SHA256 signature before anything is parsed, then append to an immutable event log whose operational fields are locked after creation. Only the free-text note stays editable.
Containers move through depot gate-in and gate-out with lease contracts and demurrage and detention tracking, and maintenance and repair work orders sit against the box, not a free-text comment.
Warehouse movements are append-only and are the only source of handling charges. A billing run per client and period reads the movement log plus storage snapshots, so a corrected charge is a new movement, never an edited history row.
A deviation detector raises a deviation only when readings breach the profile thresholds for longer than the alert window, and the impact verdict drives the compliance certificate line rather than every transient blip.
Models carry company scoping with global isolation rules, so a group running several Kuwait entities keeps freight jobs, declarations and warehouse billing separated per company.
What is inside
Built to do the job, end to end.
- Seventeen workflow engines. Logistics base, quotation and carrier portal, plus freight forwarding, customs broker, road transport, dashboard, cold chain, container management, dangerous goods, disputes and variations, EDI hub, last mile, project cargo, ship agency, track and trace and 3PL warehouse. These stay country neutral and carry the operational logic.
- Logistics Kuwait master data. Seed records for Kuwait sea ports, airports, customs offices and free zones, with default settings for Kuwait logistics operators. The seed is a working starter set, not an exhaustive national registry, and is meant to be extended per operator.
- Logistics Kuwait customs adapter. Country-scoped declaration types and HS overlays plus an adapter that serializes declaration submission and status to the documented Kuwait customs endpoint contract. The specification is implemented and tested offline against fixtures; live sandbox verification is deferred until customer-supplied credentials are in hand.
- Sale-order anchored operations. Operational jobs are born from a confirmed quotation rather than created free-hand, so every freight job, declaration and downstream record traces back to a priced, approved order with its margin and credit checks already applied.
- Append-only and audit-minded by design. Tracking events, warehouse movements and similar logs are append-only with locked fields after creation. State transitions and adapter calls are logged, so the operational history is reconstructable rather than overwritten in place.
Honest about the edges
What this does not do, so nothing surprises you.
- This is a meta install. It contains no models, views or data of its own; all behaviour comes from the nineteen modules it depends on, each of which can also be installed individually.
- The Kuwait customs adapter implements the documented endpoint contract and passes fixture-backed offline tests. It has not been verified against a live government sandbox; that step waits on customer-supplied credentials and access.
- Kuwait master data ships as a working starter set (a small number of ports, airports, customs offices and free zones), not a complete national registry. Operators are expected to extend it.
- Scope is the State of Kuwait. Master data and the customs adapter are country specific and are not a substitute for other GCC or regional localisations.
- Inbound tracking ingest is signature-gated and append-only, not a keyed idempotency layer. Carrier connector mappings and EDI partner profiles are configured per partner, not shipped pre-wired to specific carriers.
- Built and tested on Odoo 18 Community Edition. No Enterprise dependency and no cross-version backport is implied by this bundle.
