ERP Labz Sale Default Followers
ERP Labz Sale Default Followers is a useful Odoo module that allows you to configure default followers for sale orders. When a new sale order is created, the configured default followers will be automatically added, ensuring the right people are notified about sales activities.
Key Features
- Automatic Follower Addition: Default followers are automatically added when sale orders are created
- Partner Support: Add individual partners/users as default followers
- Channel Support: Add channels (mail channels) as default followers
- Easy Configuration: Simple settings interface in Odoo configuration
- Flexible Setup: Configure multiple partners and channels
- Automatic Notifications: Followers receive notifications about sale order activities
- No Manual Work: Eliminates the need to manually add followers to each sale order
- Consistent Setup: Ensures all sale orders have the same default followers
How It Works
- Configure default followers in Settings → Sales → Sale Default Followers
- Select partners and/or channels that should be added as default followers
- Save the settings
- When a new sale order is created, the configured followers are automatically added
- Followers receive notifications about sale order updates, messages, and activities
Configuration
Default Followers (Partners)
Select individual partners (users, contacts) that should be automatically added as followers to all new sale orders. These partners will receive email notifications about sale order activities.
Default Followers (Channels)
Select mail channels that should be automatically added as followers to all new sale orders. All members of these channels will receive notifications about sale order activities.
Use Cases
- Sales Manager Notification: Ensure sales managers are notified of all new sales
- Team Awareness: Keep the entire sales team informed about new orders
- Department Notifications: Notify specific departments (e.g., accounting, logistics)
- Consistent Followers: Maintain consistent follower setup across all sales
- Automated Workflow: Reduce manual work of adding followers to each order
Example Scenarios
Scenario 1: Sales Manager Always Notified
Configure the sales manager as a default follower. Every time a new sale order is created, the sales manager will automatically be added as a follower and receive notifications about the order.
Scenario 2: Sales Team Channel
Create a "Sales Team" channel and add it as a default follower. All members of the sales team will be notified about new sale orders automatically.
Scenario 3: Multiple Departments
Add both the sales manager and the accounting department channel as default followers. This ensures both the sales manager and accounting team are notified of all new orders.
