This Odoo module enhances your manufacturing subcontracting process by automating purchase order creation and the associated stock movements for outsourced operations. When a work order includes a subcontracted step, the system automatically generates a linked purchase order for the designated subcontractor along with corresponding delivery and receipt pickings. These flows are driven by work center configurations such as subcontractor, service product, and picking types. A dedicated filtered view provides full visibility into all subcontract-related purchase orders, helping production managers track outsourced operations efficiently. This streamlined approach reduces manual intervention, ensures accurate logistics, and boosts overall production efficiency in your Odoo environment.
Purpose of the Manufacturing Subcontract Management Module

- Flexible Workcenter-Based Setup: Define subcontracting rules-including vendor, product, cost, and picking types-at the workcenter level. This allows scalable, reusable configurations across multiple work orders.
- Symbolic FG Movement (Send FG, Get FG): The module follows a symbolic finished goods movement pattern, where the same product is delivered to and received from the subcontractor.
