The Stripe Payment Fees Extension allows businesses to automatically apply Stripe transaction processing fees to customer payments during checkout or invoice payments. This Odoo module offers a flexible configuration to charge fees based on a fixed amount or percentage, with separate options for domestic and international payments. Additionally, you can define a threshold amount orders above this total will not be charged any extra Stripe fee, offering an incentive for higher-value transactions. The module is seamlessly integrated into the Stripe payment acquirer in Odoo, enhancing transparency and enabling businesses to recover Stripe processing costs directly from customers. What is the purpose of using the Stripe Payment Fees Extension?

Go to Website > Configuration > Payment Providers and select Stripe to begin setting up payment fees
Under the Credentials tab, input your valid Publishable Key and Secret Key provided by Stripe
In the Fees section, enable the Add Extra Fees option. Configure Fixed and Percentage fee values separately for Domestic and International payments
When a customer proceeds to pay via Stripe, the configured fee fixed and percentage is automatically calculated and added to the total payment amount
Checkout payment completed successfully with detailed Stripe payment information displayed
View complete order and fee details in the Odoo backend under the transaction records
Stripe dashboard reflects all payment details including order amount and associated fees
Customers are informed about Stripe fees with a message on the payment page, ensuring transparency
