STORY BEHIND THE FEATURES
ODOO'S FUNCTIONS
Odoo provides a hardcoded description on each sales order line, which is "Product ref / Product name", and does not give any flexibility to define priorities.
For instance, if you put a supplier reference on the supplier pricelist, the description on the purchase order lines only show the Supplier ref and none of your product reference.
CLUEDOO'S FUNCTIONS
Cluedoo lets you configure the description using Python code in the product categories. This way, you can vary the description by categories and have more control on what you will have on the Sales/Purchase order.
HOW TO USE THIS MODULE
1
2
For example, we want to put the internal reference number and country (a custom field made in Studio) in the description on order lines.
3
We can write the python code like this:
result = product_template_id.x_studio_country + ' ' + product_template_id.taxes_id.default_code
string
Note: The character ' ' is used to create spacing between fields when the description is displayed
Then, when you create a sales order and select the product that is included within the product category "Office Furniture", you will have country and internal reference displayed in the description.
