ODOO BEHAVIOR
Odoo launched a hierarchy view in v13, however, this limits use to the general ledger view.
CLUEDOO BEHAVIOR
Cluedoo adds the hierarchy view as generic, which can be activated on any view as a list or a form view. This means that you can have a structured hierarchy view on any field which has the notion of parent (and so notion of hierarchy).
MODULE+
By making the hierarchy view generic, you can use it on the classic view: Chart of Accounts, Chart of Analytic Accounts, product category structure with extra Cluedoo modules but you can also on any view you are interested in having a hierarchy.

Recommendation : Make the habit of never putting any records on a parent; instead, organize your master data in order to record only on children. Then, when you call the hierarchy view, combine it with a filter on regular in order to only get the general tree.
