STORY BEHIND THE FEATURE
ODOO BEHAVIOR
In Odoo, when you change the product in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) line, it will overwrite all the information you already manually write.
CLUEDOO BEHAVIOR
With CLuedoo, when creating a Request for Quotation (RFQ), changing the product will no longer overwrite the existing description, quantity, or price. Instead, the original values are preserved. An Update Prices button is also added, allowing you to fetch the new product's price if needed, while keeping all other fields unchanged.
CLUEDOO RECOMMENDATION
Installation: ONLY for company which proposes tailor-made products/services for which descriptions and prices cannot be written on a pre-defined product.
Recommendation / Best practice: properly test this module to be sure that it's added value for your business. It prevents to overwrite information but the counterpart is that it does not update anymore information to be properly used.

When changing the products in RFQ line, other fields (detailed description, quantity, unit price, taxes) remain unchanged.
HOW TO USE THIS MODULE
1Go to Purchase → Requests for Quotation (RFQ), Create new RFQ. Pick a Vendor. Add Product and fill in all the needed fields. |
