STORY BEHIND THE FEATURE
ODOO BEHAVIOR
In Odoo, the standard functionality does not establish a direct link between Quality Control and Bill Payment processes. While users can create Quality Alerts for Purchase Orders (POs), there is no automatic mechanism to block bill payments based on open Quality Alerts . Additionally, there is no built-in way to propagate Quality Alerts from POs to Bills or to enforce approval rules for payments when quality issues are detected. This lack of integration can lead to payments being processed even when quality standards are not met, creating potential risks for the business.
CLUEDOO BEHAVIOR
Cluedoo enhances Odoo by bridging the gap between Quality Control and Bill Payment processes:
- Propagate Quality Alerts to Bills : Automatically link Quality Alerts from Purchase Orders (POs) to Bills, ensuring visibility of quality issues throughout the payment process.
- Block Payments Based on Quality : Implement approval rules to block bill payments if there are open Quality Alerts on the associated PO, requiring Quality Manager approval before payment can proceed.
- Smart Buttons for QA/QC : Add smart buttons on POs and Bills to easily access Quality Alerts (QA) and Quality Controls (QC) directly from the respective forms.
- Stored Field Quality Alert and Quality Control on PO and Bill: stored field Quality Alert and Quality Control were added for more visibility and information
- Support for 3-Way Matching : Ensure that bill validation and payment are aligned with quality standards, integrating seamlessly with the 3-way matching process.
COMPARISON: ODOO AND CLUEDOO
Odoo does not link quality control with bill payment, allowing payments even when quality issues are unresolved. Quality alerts are not propagated to bills, and no blocking mechanism exists.
Cluedoo connects quality and finance by propagating quality alerts from POs to Bills and blocking payments if alerts are still open. It adds smart buttons and stored fields for better visibility, and ensures quality compliance before payment.

HOW TO USE THIS MODULE
I. Propagate Quality Alerts to Bills, Smart Buttons for QA/QC1. Create Control Points > add Product and Operation type : Receipts , Control per : Product/Quantity |

2. Create a Purchase Order , add the products that have been set in Quality Control Points > Transfer > Quality Check > Mark as pass/fail > create Quality Alert if needed > go back to the Transfer > Validate |

2.1 If a new backorder is created > check QA/QC > validate > new QA/QC will be shown in the PO form |

3. Back to PO > QA and QC quantity is updated |
|
|
4. Create Bill > The 2 smart buttons QA and QC are also propagated to the Bill |

II. Field Quality Alert and Quality Control on PO and Bill , Block Payments Based on Quality
1. QC and QA will be shown under the Other Information tab in a Purchase Order |
