ODOO'S FUNCTION

By default, Odoo’s Sales module allows users to add Sections (e.g., for grouping products) in a Sales Order to organize order lines, and these sections are displayed along with products when printing the SO report. However, there is no option to customize the printed report to show only Sections, only Products, or both, nor can users apply different display settings for individual sections within a single SO.

CLUEDOO'S FUNCTION

This module supports:

  • Adds a Show/Hide Optional field in Sales Order sections, allowing users to choose whether to display Only Section , Only Product , or Both Section and Product when printing the SO report.
  • Supports multiple sections in a single Sales Order , with each section independently configurable for its display setting (e.g., one section can show only products, another only sections).
  • Generates customized SO reports based on the selected display option, ensuring the printed output reflects the chosen settings (e.g., Show Section Only omits product details, Show Product Only omits section titles).

Go to Sales > Orders > Quotations > Create a new quotation.

In the Order Lines tab, click Add a section to create a section line.

On the section line, select the Section Show Type:

  • Standard : shows both the section title and the related product lines on the printed quotation/Sales Order report.
  • Show Section Only : shows only the section title on the printed report. The related product detail lines are hidden, while the amount is still included in the total.
  • Show Product Only : hides the section title on the printed report and shows only the related product lines.

Add products under the related section.

Repeat the same steps to add multiple sections in one quotation. Each section can have a different Section Show Type.

Example:

  • Section A = Show Section Only: only the section is printed.

  • Section B = Show Product Only: only the products are printed.

  • Section C = Standard: both the section and products are printed.

Print the quotation or Sales Order report.

The printed report follows the selected Section Show Type for each section.
