Prerequisites

Before installing this module, ensure you have:

1. flight - SmartOps Flight Management base module
2. account - Odoo Accounting module

Installation Steps

1. Navigate to Apps in your Odoo instance
2. Remove the "Apps" filter to show all modules
3. Search for "Flight Invoice"
4. Click Install

The module will automatically install all required dependencies.

Linking Invoices to Flights

1. Go to Accounting → Customers → Invoices or Accounting → Vendors → Bills
2. Create a new invoice or open an existing one
3. In the invoice form, you will see two new fields:
   • Flight: Select the related flight
   • Aircraft: Automatically populated from the selected flight
4. Select a flight, and the aircraft will be automatically filled
5. Save the invoice

Note: You can also manually select an aircraft if needed, even without a flight.

Viewing Invoices from Flight Records

1. Navigate to Flights → Flights
2. Open a flight record
3. Click the Invoices smart button at the top of the form
4. A list of all invoices linked to this flight will be displayed
5. The smart button shows the total count of invoices

From the invoice list, you can:

• View existing invoices
• Create new invoices with the flight pre-filled
• Edit invoice details

Viewing Invoices from Aircraft Records

1. Navigate to Flights → Configuration → Aircraft
2. Open an aircraft record
3. Click the Invoices smart button
4. View all invoices associated with this aircraft

Charter Operations

For charter operators, this module enables:

• Linking client invoices to specific charter flights
• Tracking revenue per flight
• Analyzing profitability by route or aircraft
• Maintaining complete financial records per operation

Aircraft Management

For aircraft management companies:

• Track all maintenance invoices per aircraft
• Associate fuel costs with specific flights
• Monitor service expenses by aircraft
• Generate comprehensive cost reports

Flight Training

For flight schools:

• Link student invoices to training flights
• Track revenue per instructor or aircraft

The module uses Odoo's standard access control mechanisms. Users need:

• Read access to flights and aircraft to view invoice counts

All changes to flight and aircraft fields on invoices are tracked via Odoo's chatter system, providing a complete audit trail.
