Migrating a chart of accounts (COA) onto the French Plan Comptable Général is risky: legacy/imported accounts rarely follow the PCG class structure (1..8), account codes collide, and remapping journals by hand frequently leaves orphaned or mis-classed accounts that an expert-comptable later rejects.
