Garage Fleet Management is a comprehensive fleet management module designed to streamline your vehicle maintenance operations. This powerful module provides a unified interface for weekly vehicle checkups, service request management, material tracking, and job card processing.

Built specifically for Odoo 18, this module integrates seamlessly with Odoo's Fleet, HR, Project, Stock, and Mail modules to provide a complete end-to-end solution for managing your vehicle fleet maintenance operations.

Installation

1. Download the module from Odoo Apps Store
2. Extract the ZIP file to your Odoo addons directory
3. Restart your Odoo server
4. Go to Apps menu and click "Update Apps List"
5. Search for "Garage Fleet Management"
6. Click Install

Configuration

Initial Setup

1. Configure User Groups: Go to Settings → Users & Companies → Users and assign appropriate fleet roles to users
2. Set Service Types: Navigate to Fleet → Configuration → Service Types to configure available service categories
3. Configure Service Intervals: Define mileage-based service intervals in Configuration menu
4. Set Mission Types: Configure mission/project types for vehicle filtering
5. Import Vehicles: Ensure your fleet vehicles are set up in Fleet module

User Roles Configuration

Assign the following groups to users based on their responsibilities:

• Fleet User: Can create checkups and service requests
• Fleet Workshop Manager: Full workshop operations access
• Service Approver: Can approve service requests
• Material Approver: Can approve material requisitions
• Store Keeper: Can issue materials from stock
• Fleet Administrator: Full configuration and administrative access

Usage Workflow

1. Weekly Vehicle Checkup

1. Navigate to Fleet → Checkups → Weekly Checkup
2. Select vehicle and driver
3. Complete inspection checklist
4. Add photos if issues found
5. Driver signs the checkup
6. Submit for review

2. Service Request Process

1. Create service request (manually or triggered by mileage)
2. Select service type and describe issue
3. Submit for approval
4. Service approver reviews and approves
5. Workshop receives notification
6. Job card is created

3. Material Request Flow

1. From approved service request, create material request
2. Select required parts and quantities
3. Submit for material approval
4. Material approver reviews and approves
5. Store keeper issues materials from stock
6. Materials linked to job card

4. Job Card Completion

1. Workshop assigns mechanic to job card
2. Mechanic records work performed and hours
3. Materials consumed are recorded
4. Job card marked as complete
5. Generate and print job card report
6. Service request automatically updated to "Done"
