Selecting Products for Label Printing
After installation, the module allows label printing from any product list. Select one or multiple products and choose Print - Custom Product Labels to open the print wizard:
On the product page, label printing is available via the actions menu - Custom Product Labels:
To print labels from other Odoo documents, use the following extensions:
- Maintenance Barcode Labels - labels for equipment and maintenance
- MRP Product Labels - labels for products during manufacturing
- MRP Workorder Labels - labels for components in work orders
- Stock Product Labels - labels from stock operations (included in Odoo Label Builder Professional)
- Purchase Product Labels - labels from purchase orders
- Repair Product Labels - labels for repaired products
- Sales Product Labels - labels from sales orders
Print Wizard
The label designer is based on the following modules:
- Custom Product Labels - a base module that adds an alternative label print wizard in Odoo
- Label Builder Start Edition - an entry-level version for creating custom label designs with limited functionality compared to the Professional Edition
The Odoo Product Label Builder Professional module adds the following parameters to the print wizard:

The Skip value defines the number of empty labels at the beginning of the page (useful for multi-label layouts). Result:

Label Templates
The Odoo Label Builder Professional allows creating new label templates from scratch and includes nine predefined templates available for editing.

Template Management
To manage label templates, open the print wizard and click Actions - Label Templates:
The template list provides a summary of each template and allows for deactivating templates (inactive templates are archived and unavailable for selection):
Configuration
Replacing the Standard Print Wizard
To use this module via the Print Labels button, replace the standard Odoo print wizard:
Open the Settings — General Settings menu and in the Custom Labels section, enable the Replace Standard Print Wizard option:
Then, Save the settings.
Preview Data
In General Settings, under the Custom Labels section, configure data used for label preview in the print wizard:
- Choose a demo or real product
- Specify regular and promotional pricelists
- Select a partner for address labels
- Click Save
ZPL Configuration
In the same settings section, default values for ZPL label printing can be configured:
- Select Print Density based on the printer
- Define label Rotation angle
The same settings are also available at the individual label template level under the Page tab:
User Settings
Per-user configuration is supported on the user form. Go to the Preferences tab and configure the Custom Labels section:
- Default Template: defines the default template in the print wizard
- Allowed Templates: restricts available templates for the user

Well crafted plug in, useful and great support.
We have an environment where custom labels are very useful. We were looking at exporting data and loading it into a standalone label software package. But I really wanted to do this directly from Odoo. I wanted to make this as straight forward as possible. I also wanted bar codes, and I wanted to print directly from Odoo as well.
This plug-in has been great. Once you get the hang of it (their documentation has been helpful as well) it just works.
Also, I should note that they have been very responsive to questions and issues that I've had. This is a good company and it is worth the price.

This solution requires a lot of resources from our side to support, improve it, and add new features. We would be happy to decrease the app price further, but at the current moment, it will not allow us to provide the required quality at the high level.

Is it possible to print the label on ZPL printer ?

Our solution generates product labels in the PDF format. The most thermal printers allow you to print labels in this format. In this case, the label quality can a bit differ from labels printed by ZPL.
Printing in PDF can make effect to very small labels (less than 20 mm width and height), for middle and big size labels the printed label quality quite good and should meet your needs.
