Safely bulk-remap and merge GL accounts with audit log and dry-run
Chart-of-accounts cleanups are terrifying by hand. This tool makes them safe and reviewable: build a remap plan that points source accounts to a target (remap) or folds several accounts into one (merge), preview exactly how many journal items will move and whether any blockers exist, then execute inside a single transaction with a full audit log of every line repointed.

Each plan holds many mapping lines; a line maps one source account to a target, with an optional merge that archives the source afterwards.
Pre-Flight Validation
Checks company match, account-type compatibility, reconciled lines and open balances, plus self-mapping and cycle detection before anything runs.
Dry-Run Preview
Counts the affected move lines and surfaces every blocker before a single record is touched, so there are no surprises.
Transactional Execution
Repoints account.move.line in bulk inside one transaction; if anything fails, nothing is half-applied.
Immutable Audit Log
Records an audit line per source account (count moved, balance moved, user, timestamp); the log cannot be edited or deleted by non-managers.
