Early-Payment Discount Op
Flag vendor bills where taking the early-payment discount beats holding cash
Every “2/10 net 30” discount you miss is roughly a 37% annualised return left on the table. This module reads the early-payment-discount terms on your vendor bills, annualises the implied return of paying early, compares it against your cost of capital, and tells you exactly which bills are worth paying now — and by when.
Key Features
Discount detection
Detects bills whose payment terms carry an early-payment discount and computes the discounted amount, the saving and the last date the discount is available.
Annualised return
Annualises the effective return of taking each discount (the classic 2/10 net 30 ≈ 37% APR calculation) and flags any bill that beats your hurdle rate.
Hurdle-rate comparison
Compares every opportunity against your configured cost of capital and minimum-saving threshold so only genuinely worthwhile bills are recommended.
Daily scheduled scan
A scheduled job scans open bills daily, tags qualifying ones as recommendations and surfaces them before the discount window closes.
Ranked optimiser runs
Each run ranks recommendations by saving and annualised return, shows total cash needed, total saving captured and the optimal pay date per bill.
Batch apply & reporting
Apply recommended bills for payment at the optimal date in one action, with a saving-analysis report tracking realised vs missed savings and capture rate.

Why Choose This Module
Odoo has nothing that turns discount terms into a cash-vs-return decision. This is pure, transparent accounting logic — no external service, no subscription — that converts payment terms into a ranked, actionable list and tracks the savings you actually capture over time.
