Material Requirements Pla
Transparent MRP run: netting, planned-order suggestions, pegging and exception messages
Native Odoo MRP runs are opaque: you trigger the scheduler and orders appear, but you cannot see why a quantity was suggested, what demand it covers, or where supply falls short. Planners end up second-guessing the system or rebuilding the netting logic in spreadsheets, wasting hours per cycle. This module is built for production planners, materials managers and supply-chain teams who must justify every order. Each run snapshots demand, supply and on-hand, then exposes the netting, planned-order suggestions, demand pegging and exception messages as a drillable report that explains the plan line by line.
Key Features
Auditable MRP Run Records
Each gb.mrp.run launched from the Run MRP wizard sets a planning horizon, warehouse and product scope, then snapshots on-hand, demand and supply at run time. The run is sequenced, mail-tracked and resettable, so any suggestion stays reproducible weeks later.
Time-Phased Netting Engine
action_compute walks every storable bought or made product, summing gross requirements and scheduled receipts inside the horizon to derive projected on-hand and net_requirement on gb.mrp.requirement. Coverage % and a Covered/Shortage status are computed automatically per line.
Make-or-Buy Planned Orders
For each shortage the run creates a gb.mrp.planned.order with supply_method buy or manufacture, a release date back-dated by produce_delay or supplier delay, and a quantity rounded up to the product's reordering min_qty and qty_multiple rules.
Demand Pegging Trace
_build_pegging links each planned order to the demand lines it covers FIFO by date, storing demand source, date and pegged qty on gb.mrp.pegging. The Pegging tab and pegged_total field let planners trace any suggestion straight back to its driving demand.
Five Exception Types
gb.mrp.exception flags past_due, reschedule_in, below_safety and no_supplier conditions with low/medium/high severity and a human-readable message. The Exceptions list filters Unresolved and High Severity and offers a Toggle Resolved button per row.
Convert Suggestions to Documents
The Create Doc button (action_create_procurement) materialises a suggestion into a real draft purchase.order or mrp.production using the product's first seller or bill of materials, then records the generated document reference and confirms the line.
Pivot & Group-By Analysis
The MRP Analysis pivot is backed by a SQL view (gb.mrp.requirement.report) over real stored requirement columns, so you can group net requirements by product, category or supply method without slowing the live run data.
Scoped, Repeatable Runs
Limit a run to one warehouse_id and specific product_ids, set the horizon_days (default 60), and re-run with Reset to Draft to clear and recompute. Auto-confirm suggestions in the wizard when you trust the plan.

Why Choose This Module
Native Odoo MRP runs are opaque: you trigger the scheduler and orders appear, but you cannot see why a quantity was suggested, what demand it covers, or where supply is missing. This module makes every MRP run fully transparent, reproducible and auditable — a drillable report that explains the run line by line.
