Step 1 - Open Global View Configuration
Navigate to Settings â Technical â Global View to manage your global views.
Step 2 - Configure Sub Views
Create a new Global View record, give it a menu name, and add sub-views by linking Odoo Window Actions or Client Actions. Set Filter By fields to enable cross-model filtering between sub-views.
Step 3 - Fine-Tune Each Sub View
Open the detail dialog for any sub-view to configure its domain, filter options, custom icon, and multi-record mode.
Step 4 - Control Visibility by User Group
Use the Visibility tab to restrict the Global View menu to specific security groups, so each team sees only the views relevant to their role.
Result - Unified Panel with Live Counters
The new menu appears in the navigation bar. The left sidebar lists all sub-views with live record count badges. Click any sub-view to switch the main content area instantly.
Result - Smart Cross-Model Filtering
Selecting records in one sub-view (e.g., Contacts) automatically filters related sub-views (e.g., Quotations and Sales, Deliveries) - giving your team full context in a single screen.
