Drive Backup Configuration in Odoo
- Go to Settings â Technical (Activate Developer Mode) â Drive Backup â Drive Backup
Configuration,
- Click on "New" to Create new backup configuration, fill required data like Name,
Database Name, Master Password and Backup Destination, for Client ID, Client Secret and
Drive Folder ID you have to enable Google Drive API


Enable Google Drive API at Google Console ---> https://console.cloud.google.com/
- Login to Google Cloud Console.
- Create a new project, select that newly created project,



- Click on three line (left top corner), in that click on APIs & Services.
- Click on + Enable APIs and services .

- Search for Google Drive API, open Google Drive API and click on Enable.

- After Enable, Create Credentials








Create OAuth Client ID
- In Credentials -> Create Credentials -> OAuth Client ID.

- To create an OAuth client ID, you must first configure your consent screen, click on Configure consent screen

- Click Get started to configure your application's identity and manage credentials for calling Google APIs and Sign-in with Google,
- Fill App Information, App name and User support email,
- Click on next, Now in Audience select Internal or External as per need,
- Click on next, Now in Contact Information add Email address,
- Click on next, Now in Finish click I agree and continue,
- Click on Create

- Click on Clients Menu and click on + Create client

- Now in Create OAuth client ID, select Application type as per need,

- Now in Authorized JavaScript origins, click on Add URL and add your Odoo URL,

- Now in Authorized redirect URIs, click on Add URL and add /google_drive/authentication URL, with your Odoo URL

- Click on Create, now Client ID and Client secret are generated

- Copy Client ID and Client secret and enter at Database Backup which we creating

Go Back to the Google Console, click on ok, open Audience menu above the Clients,

Scroll down to the OAuth user cap, click on + Add users below Test users,

Add Email Address and click on save











Setup Access Token
- After add user in Audience, for Drive Folder ID
open Google Drive -->
https://drive.google.com/
- Create a new folder in Google Drive, in General access Anyone with the
link with the role editor

- Go in side the New Folder Created than in URL section copy only the Folder ID,
- Enter that Folder ID to Drive Folder ID

- Click on stepup Token and login with email address which we add at OAuth user cap's new user


- After Token set, Database Backup is created successfully.
- Now documents added to the attachment will be automatically stored in the drive
