Overview
Out of Stock Product Restriction in Sales Order - Odoo App
The Out of Stock Product Restriction feature in the Odoo Sales Order app helps users efficiently manage stock by raising low stock warnings when a product is out of stock. This feature ensures that users are informed of stock availability when selecting a product on the sales order. If the product is out of stock, the system will show a warning message, and users will only be able to confirm the order if the product is in stock.
This feature improves inventory management by preventing sales orders from being confirmed for products that are not available. By restricting out-of-stock products, businesses can reduce the risk of overselling and improve customer satisfaction by ensuring that only available products are confirmed for sale.
Users can restrict out-of-stock products based on either on-hand quantity or forecasted quantity of the product. The system will check the stock before the sale order is confirmed and raise a warning if the stock is insufficient.
If the product is not available in stock, the system will prevent the sale order confirmation and display a stock restriction warning. This ensures that users are aware of the stock issue and can take necessary actions before confirming the sale order.

Click on the Sales module.
Know Click on Configuration and in that Click on Settings
Under Sales > Configuration > Settings menu user need to enable "Low Stock Warning" option.
Now We Will Make Sales Quotation...
User can see created sales order with out of stock product, User also can see "On Hand Quantity" and "Forecasted Quantity" on order line for products.
When user tries to confirm sale order with out of stock quantity then warning will raise, user also can see quantity and warehouse description for product on warning.
Under Sales > Configuration > Settings menu user need to enable "Out Of Stock Product Restriction?" option, use also need to select "Check Stock" option as "On Basis of Forecasted Quantity" or "On Basis of On Hand Qty" option.
The user can view sales orders that contain out-of-stock products. Additionally, the "On Hand Quantity" for each product will be displayed on the order line.
When a user attempts to confirm a sales order with an out-of-stock product, a warning will be triggered. The warning will also display the product's quantity and warehouse details.
Under Sales > Configuration > Settings menu user need to enable "Out Of Stock Product Restriction?" option, use also need to select "Check Stock" option as "On Basis of Forecasted Quantity" or "On Basis of On Hand Qty" option.
