POS Payment Fiscals

Enhance Odoo Point of Sale by mapping a Fiscal Position to each Payment Method. When a cashier selects a payment method, the order automatically switches fiscal position and taxes are recalculated. The POS also displays totals per fiscal position for quick comparison.

What this module does

Assign a Fiscal Position to each POS payment method. In the POS UI, you can see the total amount computed for different fiscal positions, and when a payment method is chosen, the order switches fiscal position and recomputes taxes/prices automatically—keeping checkout fast and accurate.

Per Payment Method FPOS
Add a Fiscal Position on each payment method. Selecting that method in POS switches the order’s fiscal position.
Accurate Tax Mapping
Taxes are recalculated using fiscal position tax mapping, so totals reflect the correct tax rules instantly.
Totals on Screen
Show totals per configured fiscal position on the Product Screen and show fiscal-based totals next to payment methods.

Configuration

Configure fiscal positions in POS, then assign a fiscal position to payment methods.

  1. Go to Point of Sale → Configuration → Point of Sale.
  2. Open your POS configuration and enable/configure Flexible Taxes (Fiscal Positions).
  3. Select the fiscal positions you want available in POS (these will appear in the totals widget).
  4. Go to Point of Sale → Configuration → Payment Methods and set a Fiscal Position on each method (optional).
Note: When a payment method has a fiscal position, selecting it during checkout will update the order’s fiscal position and recompute line prices/taxes. Fiscal position selection is company-aware (domain by company).
