Project Task Management System for HR in Odoo

This module enables the Human Resource (HR) team to efficiently manage recurring tasks and checklist tasks within Odoos Project Management system. It automates the creation of recurring tasks, while also providing a structured checklist task feature, allowing HR personnel to streamline task management and ensure better tracking and completion of their responsibilities.

Main Features:

  • Task and Checklist Template Creation: HR teams can easily create and manage task templates and checklist templates for recurring HR tasks.
  • Recurring Task Configuration: HR teams have the ability to configure and set up recurring tasks, defining task frequency based on daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly schedules.
  • Automated Task Creation: Tasks and checklist items will be automatically created based on the setup, triggered by a daily cron job. This ensures tasks are generated on time without manual input.
  • User Access Control: To view HR Projects and Tasks, HR personnel must have the HR Project Task Management access enabled on their user profile. Additionally, assign appropriate roles (Project User or Project Manager) for proper access.
  • Comprehensive Project Management: HR teams will have full access to Odoos project management system. They can manage project tasks, checklists, and recurring tasks efficiently.

Workflow:

  • Step 1: Task Templates Menu
    This menu allows you to create task templates for routine or recurring tasks. Once created, these templates can be used in the Recurring Tasks Setup menu to automate the creation of recurring tasks based on the selected templates.
  • Step 2: Checklist Templates Menu
    The Checklist Templates menu displays all available checklist templates that can be linked to task templates. Each task template can have multiple checklist templates associated with it. The system will generate checklist tasks based on the linked templates.
  • Step 3: Recurring Tasks Setup Menu
    This menu allows you to configure recurring task setups. You can create multiple recurring task setups with options to define recurrence based on daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly schedules. Once the cron job runs, it will check these setups and automatically create tasks according to the defined recurrence.
  • Step 4: Cron Job Execution
    The cron job will automatically execute every day, generating recurring tasks based on the predefined setup:
    • Daily: Create recurring tasks every day.
    • Weekly: Create recurring tasks every Monday.
    • Monthly: Create recurring tasks on the first day of each month.
    • Yearly: Create recurring tasks on the first day of the year.
  • Step 5: Tasks Menu
    This menu displays the tasks and checklist tasks created by the system after executing the recurring task cron job. Your users and managers can access and work on these tasks and checklist items.
