Cheque Management Module / PDC & CUC

Module Overview

The Cheque Management module handles:

  • CUC (Cheques Under Collection): Incoming cheques from customers
  • PDC (Post Dated Cheques): Outgoing cheques to vendors

CUC - Cheques Under Collection (Customer Cheques)

Step 1: Define New Cheque

Status: New

Journal Entry Created:

  • Debit: Cheques Under Collection (linked to the Bank Journal GL account)
  • Credit: Accounts Receivable (for the customer selected)

Step 2: Clear or Bounce

Clear:

  • Debit: Bank
  • Credit: Cheques Under Collection

Bounce:

  • Debit: Accounts Receivable
  • Credit: Cheques Under Collection

PDC - Post Dated Cheques (Vendor Cheques)

Step 1: Define New Cheque

Status: New

Journal Entry Created:

  • Debit: Accounts Payable (for the vendor selected)
  • Credit: Post Dated Cheques (GL Account)

Step 2: Clear or Bounce

Clear:

  • Debit: Post Dated Cheques
  • Credit: Bank

Bounce:

  • Debit: Post Dated Cheques
  • Credit: Accounts Payable

Reporting Features

You can export reports containing:

  • Cheque Number
  • Accounting Date
  • Due Date
  • Cheque Type (CUC or PDC)
  • Cheque Status (New, Bounced, Cleared)
  • Bank Journal
  • Customer or Vendor
  • Amount
  • Description

Filtering and grouping options are also available in the reporting view.
