Category-Based Invoice Splitting for Odoo Sales Orders
Seamlessly split invoices by product categories in one click.
Overview
This **Invoice Split by Category** module allows Odoo users to automatically split a sales order invoice based on product categories. It introduces a new checkbox in the product category configuration—if enabled, the products assigned to that category will be billed separately when invoicing.
This feature is particularly useful for companies that deal with different product types requiring individual invoices—like services vs. physical items, or taxable vs. non-taxable goods.
Once installed, simply configure your categories, enable the split option where needed, and use the “Split Invoice by Category” action after creating an invoice. The system will automatically generate multiple draft invoices—each grouping products by their invoice configuration.
Developed in response to real customer needs, this module eliminates manual invoice separation and improves accuracy in financial reporting, billing, and compliance.
