POS Stock Availability
Display real-time stock availability on POS product cards and order lines
Demo
See it in action: stock badges on product cards, order line alerts, and payment validation.
Product Cards
Each storable product displays a stock badge on its card. Green when in stock, Red when out of stock. The badge updates in real-time as items are added to the cart.
Order Lines
When the ordered quantity exceeds the available stock, the order line turns red with an "Out of stock" badge. This gives the cashier a clear visual warning before proceeding to payment.
Payment Validation
Before processing payment, the system checks stock availability for every line. If any product has insufficient stock, a warning dialog is shown with the list of affected products and their available quantities.
Configuration
Go to Point of Sale » Configuration » Settings and scroll to the Inventory section. The "Allow Out-of-Stock Sales" option controls the payment behavior:
| Enabled (default) | A confirmation dialog is shown but the cashier can choose to continue the sale. |
| Disabled | Payment is blocked entirely when any product has insufficient stock. |
