Description of the Module
The DMS Document Template module allows you to create documents from a template in minutes. This module is linked to four Odoo system models: Contacts, Journal Entry, Purchase Order and Sales Order.
You can easily create contracts, invoices (we also provide free Drafts of primary documentation which meet the requirements of the Ukrainian document circulation) and other accounting documents using data only from the Odoo system, because the module allows you to take any field value from the four models and link it to a template.
For example, when creating an agreement with a counterparty, it is advisable to use a template linked to the Contacts model, but it is better to combine a commercial offer with the Sales Order template. That is why templates are linked to a specific model, so that you understand where to get the data to use in this template.

Module settings
In order to install the DMS Document Template module, go to the Applications menu and enter kw_dms_template in the search bar. Install the modules.
Next, go to the Documents menu and select the Settings/Templates tab. The "Create" button adds all types of templates with reference to the model used in the Odoo system.
For example, when you go to the Contact template, you can choose a paper format, specify headers and footers, and of course, fill in the Table of Contents. You can also format the text according to your preferences.
To link the text you specified to the Contact model, select the required field (for example, city name or customer name) and go to the Dynamic placeholder generator tab. Do the following with all the necessary values.
Save the appropriate settings. Next, go to the Settings/Document types section and create a new type with reference to your template.
To create your new Contract from a template, go to the Documents/Documents section and click the "New" button.
In the new window that opens, specify the type of document (for example, the template we have just created), the directory, and select the required contact. As you can see, the program automatically substitutes the counterparty's data into the appropriate fields. You can correct this document if necessary. Save all your changes by clicking the "Save" button.
The document can be downloaded in pdf format, printed or sent to counterparties.
