Australia Payroll PAYG for Odoo
ATO PAYG withholding, Super Guarantee with Payday Super, leave loading and TFN/ABN validation — built on hr, no Enterprise dependency.
What It Does
Run Australian payroll in Odoo. For each payslip the module computes the ATO PAYG withholding using the Schedule 1 (NAT 1004) coefficient formula w = a×x − b on the weekly-equivalent earnings, with separate scales for employees who have and have not claimed the tax-free threshold. It computes the Super Guarantee (12% of Ordinary Time / Qualifying Earnings) with the quarterly maximum contribution base pro-rated per pay, optional annual leave loading (17.5%), and net pay. Weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly pay cycles are supported.
Payday Super Ready
A Payday Super flag and a super remittance summary group each employee's contribution by fund (USI and member number) so it can be paid on every payday and received by the fund within seven business days — the model coming into force on 1 July 2026. The contribution data is the basis for a SuperStream message handed to your own clearing house under your credentials (BYOK).
Key Features
- PAYG withholding — ATO NAT 1004 coefficient method, both tax-free-threshold scales, editable coefficient bands per company.
- Super Guarantee — 12% of OTE / Qualifying Earnings with the quarterly maximum contribution base pro-rated per pay.
- Payday Super flag and a super remittance summary grouped by fund.
- Annual leave loading (17.5%, editable) and NES leave-accrual helpers.
- TFN & ABN validation — the official ATO mod-11 and ABR mod-89 checksums.
- Payroll run with per-payslip computation, run totals and a CSV payroll register.
- Pure-Python computation engine, fully unit tested. Built on hr + hr_contract — no Enterprise
hr_payrolldependency.
Disclosure: this module computes and prepares Australian payroll figures (PAYG, super, leave loading); it does not lodge with the ATO. STP and SuperStream submission is performed through your own provider credentials (BYOK). Confirm all rates, coefficients and bases against the latest official ATO guidance before running live payroll. Compatible with Odoo 18 & 19.
