Switzerland Payroll Accept Journal Entries
Automatically post payroll journal entries when a Swiss ISO20022 payment file is generated.
Developed by 2BIT Digital GmbH — your Swiss Odoo partner for payroll, accounting, eCommerce, manufacturing and custom business solutions.
Overview
In the standard Odoo Swiss payroll flow, generating a payment file does not automatically post the related journal entries. Accounting users must manually confirm each payroll journal entry after the payment file has been created.
This module eliminates that manual step. When a Swiss ISO20022 payment report is generated from a payslip batch, all associated draft payroll journal entries are posted automatically.
Business Impact
Why You Need This Module
Swiss payroll requires generating an ISO20022 payment file for bank transfers. Without this module, the payroll journal entries remain in draft state after the file is generated and must be confirmed manually — an extra step that is easy to forget.
Which Problems It Solves
- Payroll journal entries left in Draft state after payment file generation
- Manual confirmation step required for every payroll run
- Risk of forgetting to post entries and having unbalanced accounting
Key Benefits For Payroll Teams
- Journal entries posted automatically when the payment file is generated
- No manual confirmation step needed after each payroll run
- Works for both individual payslip and payslip batch journal entries
How It Works
- Process your payslips and confirm the payslip batch as usual.
- Click Create Payment Report on the payslip batch.
- Select the export format Swiss ISO20022, bank journal, and execution date.
- Click Generate — the ISO20022 payment file is downloaded.
- All associated draft payroll journal entries are posted automatically — no manual confirmation needed.
