Fiji VAT Label G
FRCS VMS-ready invoicing — VAT label G (12.5%), TIN + EFD fields, fiscal QR
Prepares Odoo for the Fiji Revenue & Customs Service (FRCS) VAT Monitoring System (VMS) and implements the new VAT tax label "G" (12.5%) mandated for POS / SDC systems effective 1 August 2025. Tags every invoice line with the correct FRCS VAT label, assembles the fiscalised-invoice document, and — with a configured Electronic Fiscal Device — fiscalises through your VSDC or ESDC and stores the fiscal reference and verification QR.
VAT Tax Labels A–G
Each line is tagged with the correct FRCS label using a rate-driven mapper with editable thresholds. A product may pin its own label; otherwise the label is derived from the line’s VAT rate.
- G — 12.5% standard rate (new, from 1 Aug 2025)
- A — 15% legacy standard rate
- E — 9% reduced rate
- B — 0% zero-rated supplies
- C — exempt supplies
- D — imported services / reverse charge
- F — special / deferred rate
VMS Fiscalisation
Fiscalised invoice document
TIN + business-unit (branch) header, a per-label fiscal summary footer, a label-tagged item list and credit-note referencing of the original receipt — assembled as the canonical VMS JSON.
VSDC / ESDC submission
EFD initialisation and sales fiscalisation over the documented VMS REST API, with editable sandbox/production endpoints and automatic retry/backoff.
Fiscal reference & QR
Stores the SDC ID, receipt signature, internal data and receipt number; builds the FRCS receipt-verification QR rendered to a PNG, with an offline store-and-forward payload until the device signs.
Real FRCS TIN validation
An 8–9 digit structural validator plus an advisory ISO 7064 MOD 11-10 check digit, enforced on the company and on partners.
Validation, BYOK & Onboarding
Business-rule validation
A Fiji rule set layered on an EN 16931-style core: seller/buyer TIN, valid labels, FJD currency and business unit, checked before submission.
BYOK credentials
The EFD serial and communication key live on the connection record — never bundled with the module, transmitted only to the FRCS VMS endpoint you set.
Guided onboarding
A wizard validates the TIN, writes the connection and the editable VAT rates, and optionally initialises the device — an optional batch-fiscalise cron is included.
Compatibility
Compatible with Odoo 18 and Odoo 19. Built on the shared e-Invoice Core Engine — no engine functionality is duplicated.
Disclosure: this module transmits invoice data only to the FRCS VMS endpoint you configure. Your EFD communication key and TIN are stored solely on your own database and are never sent anywhere else.
