Simplify Partner Creation for French Companies

Automate the retrieval of company information using SIRET numbers with the official Pappers API integration.

Overview

This module enhances Odoo's partner management for French companies by integrating with the Pappers API. It allows automatic retrieval and population of company information using the SIRET number, streamlining the process of creating and updating partner records for French businesses.

Company Information

Automatically retrieve company details including name, address, VAT number, and registration information using just the SIRET number.

Company Logo

Fetch company logos from Logo.dev to enhance partner visual identification in your database.

Detailed Description

Generate comprehensive company descriptions with key business information and activity details.

API Token Tracking

Monitor your Pappers API token usage directly within Odoo to manage your subscription effectively.

Company Search

Search for companies by name, SIREN, or SIRET directly from the partner list and import their full information with a single click.

Configuration

1 Access Settings: Navigate to Settings > General Settings
2 Find the Section: Locate the "Pappers SIRET Lookup" section
3 Enable Feature: Toggle the feature on
4 API Configuration: Enter your Pappers API key and Logo.dev API key

You can obtain a Pappers API key by registering at https://www.pappers.fr/api

5 Save: Apply your settings

Usage

Creating a New Partner

1 Create Contact: Go to Contacts > Create
2 Enter SIRET: Input the SIRET number in the designated field
3 Auto-Population: The system will automatically fetch and populate other fields with company information

Updating Existing Partner

1 Open Partner: Access an existing partner record
2 Update SIRET: Enter or modify the SIRET number
3 Refresh Data: The system will fetch and update the partner information automatically

Viewing Company Description

1 Access Partner: Open a partner that has been populated via SIRET lookup
2 View Details: Navigate to the "Company Description" tab to view comprehensive information

Using Pappers Search Feature

1 Access Partner List: Go to Contacts and view the list of partners
2 Launch Search: Click on "Action" and select "Pappers Search" from the dropdown menu
3 Search Companies: Enter a company name, SIREN, or SIRET in the search field
4 Review Results: Browse through the list of companies matching your search criteria
5 Import Company: Select the desired company and click "Create Partner" to import its information

Troubleshooting

API Connection Issues:
  • Verify that your Pappers API key is valid and correctly entered
  • Check your remaining API tokens in the Pappers dashboard
  • Ensure you have an active internet connection for API calls to work
Logo Retrieval Problems:
  • Confirm your Logo.dev API key is valid
  • Verify the company name format is compatible with Logo.dev requirements
  • Some companies may not have logos available in the Logo.dev database
Data Accuracy:
  • The information retrieved is only as accurate as the data in the Pappers database
  • For recently registered companies or recent changes, there might be a delay in data availability

API Token Management

The module allows you to track your Pappers API token usage directly within Odoo. You can view your remaining tokens and update the count at any time.

To update your token count:

  1. Go to Settings > General Settings
  2. Find the "Pappers SIRET Lookup" section
  3. Click the "Update Token Count" button
  4. The system will display your remaining tokens
