Sales Commission — Plans, Categories & Tiers
Stop calculating commissions in spreadsheets. Define commission plans per salesperson, rate them by product category, choose whether commission triggers on order confirmation or invoice payment, and track every line until it's paid.
📋 Commission plans
Assign a default plan per salesperson, with a global rate plus category-specific overrides.
⚡ Two trigger modes
Generate commission as soon as the order is confirmed, or only once the invoice is actually paid.
📊 Margin or subtotal
Calculate commission on the sale subtotal, or on the real margin (subtotal minus cost).

Select multiple commission lines and confirm payment in one click — ready to feed your payroll.
How it works
- Go to Sales → Configuration → Commission Plans and create a plan: default rate, calculation method, and trigger.
- Optionally add category-specific rates (e.g. 10% on Services, 3% on Hardware).
- Assign the plan to each salesperson under their user profile, "Sales Commission" tab.
- Commission lines appear automatically under Sales → Commissions as orders confirm or invoices get paid.
- Select lines and use Mark as Paid from the Action menu when you run payroll.

Technical notes
- Salespeople only see their own commission lines (security rule); managers see everyone's.
- Commission lines are never duplicated — generation is idempotent per order/invoice.
- This module computes and tracks commissions; it does not post payroll entries — use the "Paid" status to feed your own payroll process.
